Our Canadian neighbors have interests in the Vanadium belt and own mining interests, specifically CellCube purchased rights to shore up a supply chain for their energy storage systems using Vanadium Pentoxide in the Vanadium Redox Batteries. There is company from China that owns or purchased mineral rights to another vanadium mine in the Vanadium belt however they don’t have a vertically integrated supply chain like CellCube. Finally, us Californians remember MolyCorp on Mountain Pass, Ca which went bankrupt and purchased by a China owned company. At one time MolyCorp was the globally supllier of the world’s rare earths.
