Video: CMI Founding Director Reflects on Five Years of Critical Materials Research

Video clips are a great way to ease back into the work week after a holiday.  And thankfully, the Critical Materials Institute, a Department of Energy research hub under the auspices of Ames Laboratory, has got you covered.

As we recently shared, CMI Founding Director Dr. Alex King has stepped down from the post he held for five years. Before his successor Dr. Christian Haas took over, Dr. King hosted a webinar entitled: Success is Not Final, Failure is Not Fatal.”

In it, he reflects on the research hub’s successes to date (of which there were many), as well as some failures (of which there were a few) and shares his views of CMI’s role going forward.  The webinar has been broken up into six segments all of which can be watched here.

We wish Dr. King the best going forward and look forward to following CMI’s ongoing efforts to tackle “the hard stuff,” and “deliver the solutions that nobody else can.”
